Reducers prepared for all types of machinery

Our range of speed reducers includes worm gear, coaxial, orthogonal, and parallel shaft models, manufactured in aluminum, cast iron, or stainless steel, depending on the size. All our products are designed with the latest technologies to ensure the highest quality, offering a wide variety of options to provide the most suitable solution for our customers. Additionally, we offer asynchronous three-phase and single-phase electric motors, with one or more speeds, featuring built-in brakes, Atex certification, etc. All are manufactured in compliance with IEC standards.

Configure our products

At Komet, we work to ensure that all our reducers offer various machine coupling options, allowing us to provide a wide range of choices for our customers so they can always select the best possible solution.

Among these options, we highlight a broad selection of output flanges for each reducer size, as well as reaction arms and single or double shafts.

Multiple output options for reducers

Serie K-KM

The range of worm gear reducers features injected aluminum housings up to size 90 and cast iron housings from size 110 onwards. They include universal mounts to adapt to IEC standards for electric motors. All sizes come with a standard output shaft that can be modified according to customer needs.

Serie K

Worm gear reducer equipped with a male shaft for manual operation or with a pulley/sprocket.

Series KM

Worm gear reducer ready for motor coupling, with B-14, B-5, and B-5R flanges.

KM unit

Pre-assembled gearmotor unit from the factory. The motor’s terminal box can be mounted in four different positions.

Reducers with pre-reduction MKV, MKK, and MKP

Depending on the application, it is sometimes necessary to achieve a higher transmission ratio than the standard or even have a variable ratio. For these cases, we use reducer assemblies that provide several advantages.

Serie MKV

Series of gearmotors with an integrated mechanical speed variator. This assembly allows adjusting the transmission ratio by operating the handwheel.

Series MKK

Assembly of two KM series reducers coupled to achieve a higher transmission ratio. This type of assembly is used in applications where the irreversibility of the reducer is particularly important.

Serie MKP

Assembly consisting of a worm gear reducer coupled with a single-stage gear pre-reducer. This setup allows for greater speed reduction while maintaining a 90° output.

Serie MRD

Series of coaxial gearmotors featuring a robust one-piece housing designed to accommodate 2 or 3 gear trains. The range is built in B3 “foot-mounted” form but can be converted to B5 form simply by using one of the various output flanges available for each size.

Serie MRD

Coaxial shaft reducer with a straight male shaft output. Wide range of transmission ratios available.

Serie MRVD

Coaxial shaft reducer coupled with a mechanical variator to adjust the output speed using a manual handwheel.

Serie MRDP

Coaxial shaft reducer coupled with a single-stage gear pre-reducer. Ideal for applications requiring a high transmission ratio.

Serie X

Bevel helical gearmotors. This type of reducer provides very high energy efficiency, which can exceed 95% depending on the gear set ratio and the number of stages (2 or 3). The output in this type of reducer is always at 90° and can be either a hollow shaft or a male shaft output.

Motor variators

Series of gearmotors with an integrated mechanical speed variator. This assembly allows adjusting the transmission ratio by operating the handwheel.

Serie VB

Manual mechanical speed variator. Designed for coupling with a reducer and motor using B5-sized flanges.

Serie MVB

Manual mechanical speed variator with the coupled motor.

Serie MKV

Complete assembly of the reducer, variator, and motor.

Electric motors

Three-phase/single-phase AC and DC electric motors.
Motors with integrated brakes, either jointly or separately powered.

Additionally, upon request, motors can be supplied with forced ventilation, ATEX certification, rotation direction lock, or an encoder.
Standards: DIN/EN/IEC/CSA/NEMA.

Three-phase AC motors

Three-phase AC motors, available in various output speeds. They can be mounted with B14, B5, and B3 (foot-mounted) flanges. Also available with ATEX certification and different protection ratings, including IP65 and IP66.

Single-phase AC motors

Single-phase AC motors. Available with a start capacitor for medium torque or a high-torque centrifugal start.

They can be mounted with B14, B5, or B3 (foot-mounted) flanges.

Motors with
Brake

AC motors with coil power supply for either AC or single-phase (DC).

Available upon request with an independent power supply for the motor and brake.
